so...... Guess who’s birthday is this week!!!!
happy Birthday KASENYA!!! i hope it is soo great!!! You’ll have to tell me all
about it, you are now a teenager!! This week we had another general authority
come and speak to us!! A member of the 70 and his name was Elder Fallubelum and
he gave such an awesome talk it was incredible!!!! He was so nice, and we got
to talk to him afterwards which was great!! The weather down here is so crazy
and cool!! Before a rain storm, theres a couple of hours of dry lightning where
the sky just flashes like crazy before it starts to rain!! it was legit!!
This week we got shoved into a white van!!!
that was an adventure!!! this lady came up to me during breakfast and was like
i need you, we have to go now, come on.. so my comp started coming and she was
saying, no, no you can’t come, so i left my comp (what? is that even allowed?)
and was taken outside where they told me to get in this van and they closed the
door and there i was with one other sister and we were like... uh... what the
heck are we doing here? They opened the door and put another 3 sisters and 8
elders in the car, 2 elders in the passenger seat and a driver, making 14
people in a 12 passenger van and off we go, out of the CCM!! freedom!!! so we
saw the Guatemalan Eiffel tower.. yes, apparently we have one of those, and you
can drive under it and its pretty cool but much smaller and more ghetto!! We
saw tons of soccer fields that really made me want to play pretty bad!! All the
basketball courts down here have these weird hoops, because instead of it being
a pole to hold it up, they have soccer goals at the base of them so every
basketball court is a soccer court/ football court as well!! Another crazy
thing is that everyone down here, guard, police, or citizen carry around rifles
and shot guns so don’t be surprised it i just randomly get shot.
We show up at the visa place where we’re
signing for them and we made our first contact so since we were in my mission i
said I’d contact him later which was cool!! we were in this super ghetto
building and the toilet was nasty that Hermana Bigelow ( the one everyone
wanted to marry) had to use cause she needed it bad!! The lady that was with us
was like don’t worry, i was a missionary, come with me- she kept making us move
saying, make the line here, nope here, no go there, okay lets move the line, go
up, no stop, come back down (this stair case) nope, too far, back up… it was so
funny because it really didn’t matter for anything and we were waiting there to
just be out of the way to go sign our papers!! ha!! When we got called up she
would have us make more lines!! it was great!!!
The kids here are so dang cute!! They are
little and smiley and i love talking to them!!! It’s great!!! so this upcoming
week, we are getting the Latinos that are going to my mission since they only
need 2 weeks here at the CCM so they send them in my last two weeks so that we
leave at the same time!! i cant believe its already been 4 weeks!! That’s one
month of my mission gone and i feel like i haven’t even done anything yet!! It’s
so crazy!!! Since all the elders here do tie trades, we decided to do a skirt
trade but i think only like 2 sisters traded cause they’re not as interchangeable
as the ties. Hermana Dosela, Chiara and
McGee left this week -which I’m so sad about because we all became way good
friends and hopefully we can hook up when we all get back!! The CCM has been so
great!! It’s super spiritual here every day and i just love feeling the
spirit!!!!
i gave the opening prayer in sacrament meeting this week (in Spanish)
and then my testimony so hopefully they understood what i was saying.. also, i
got called to be the Hermana music leader which means i run devotionals so
hopefully i can say what i need to... yo se esta evangelio es verdadero, yo se
que jose smith es un profeta de Dios y recibir el libro de mormon donde Dios.
Yo se que esta iglesia es muy importante por todo personas en el mundo y es
entonces verdadero!!!! yo amo esta iglesia!!! te amo ustedes!!! i love you
all!! have a fantastic week!!!!
