So calling was pretty fun this week...it was only a little sad that I couldn't really hear what you were all saying...but thanks for everything!  you guys are the best and I love you sooo much!! what a fun Christmas!! I can't wait to see pics from all the hockey in the front yard with the woods and Kofoeds!! How fun--it was really weird to be called Josie again, i was a little confused at first who you were talking to...it was pretty hard, gonna be honest, calling home isn't the best thing in the world, cause it just makes you home sick!!  Hope you all had a great week... and that you will remember Christ through this Christmas season! Yay! I know that Jesus Christ lives--is our Savior and Redeemer and that we have EVERYTHING thanks to Him!  Go check out the videos on the Mormon website about Christmas, cause they are all great...Love you all and hope you have a fantastic New Year!  It was awesome to talk to you even if i barely heard anything.  I love to get e-mails and letters--even if they take forever to get to me...thanks for all the love and support!  you guys are the best ...LOVE YOU!

FELIZ NAVIDAD!!

Can you believe it’s Christmas time already!?  Wow…I can’t!! crazy—probably cause there’s no snow here, so it doesn’t look or feel like Christmas, So I got a new comp last last week, but didn’t write…sorry about that.  She is great!! From Mexico, and she loves to laugh and smile, and say hi to the world, so we get along great!  Our investigators are super pilas!!! (awesome) and they are doing great.

We had a multi zone conference this last week with President, and the Dalys (the senior couple here teaching English) and it was the best—we  watched a movie…it was an old, boring one.  The president and his wife are the cutest, and bought us all presents, and they send their love for you all- and me too!  I hope Christmas is great for everyone!! I love the word Christmas, because it means Christ, and in Spanish, mas is more, so “more Christ”… lets focus on what really counts this Christmas season, and study the life of Christ and what he has done for us!

We’ve been passing out these cards with the website for our church, It has Christmas movies - if you haven’t seen them, watch them, they are great.

 My voice is sooo dead, cause we’ve been Christmas caroling up a storm, and the other day went to a market as a zone and just sang for forever to get contacts and it was sooo great!! I love sharing the message of his birth, and what we have thanks to him!!

 The missionaries in this zone are super awesome, and we just have lots of fun!! Friday night was the ward Christmas party, and we invited our investigators and bought presents for them, they had fun -it was the cutest!  I love this Church, and know it’s true!!  Thanks for all the love and support from you guys, and I hope you have a great holiday, remembering what we celebrate it for- Christ!  Love you all!

Suuuuper funny-tense story… this week we were walking along, contacting and finding people to teach, when we come up on this member, who has a screwdriver up in her car door and struggling with this part, and we walk up and ask if we could help—one thing you should know is that, all of my life my motto has been, "call dad, he can fix it..." well since i can no longer do that, my new motto has become "my dads an engineer, i can fix that..." yeah,.. let’s just say it isn’t a good thing to try messing with things you have no clue how they work—So I’m looking at this door, and decide to go around to the other side to see what it’s supposed to look like, and start messing with it, and touched something that i shouldn’t have, and it locks in place, just like the other side…so i totally broke it! so much for service! I said a silent prayer, and was pleading sooooo hard that i could figure out how to fix it, cause cars are expensive, and i did not want to pay for that! I said “hey, Hermana Lopez, can you bring that manual over here for a second” (she had been reading it since the lady gave it to her, happy it was in English and we could read it and fix her problem...) she came over, and i told her what had happened, and she was like, no way.. well yes. yes way…then the lady came over and flipped, and told us we could just leave before we broke anything else! she was soooo ticked!! so i prayed again, and fiddled with some things, scared to break it more, and turns out when i stopped and thought about it, i figured out how to fix it, and was able to fix both the doors!  So prayers are answered!!  I was freaking out pretty bad.  Hermana Medrano had been trying to find me a stress ball to calm me down, and ended up pulling out a lid from a fast food drink and started squeezing it and told me i could use that, and i was like, what the flip!? Put that back in the trash.

Love you all and hope all is well…I have changes and am going back to Utatlan tomorrow, hopefully with a good comp—have a great week. Thanks for the letters—I love them, hope the snow is fun!!

Hey family how is life!?

         Wow! It’s crazy that it’s p-day again!!! The week just flew by soo fast!! So Google lies, because it gets cold here, and in fact, it’s basically freezing!!! We get wet when it rains, and then the wind will blow and we freeze!! I’m pretty sure it’s never been this cold in Utah!!! What the pansies!!! so i definitely need to find some jackets and stuff!!! i don’t think being in a skirt helps, and i just wish i would’ve known before to bring some warmer stuff!!

This week was super awesome!! i love being in a trio and we have tons of fun!! we can contact like 50 people in 10 minutes, so we basically just stalk people down and beg them for their information!—our investigators are great, and they love to learn!! i love feeling the spirit when we teach them, and you can feel it so strong as we testify!! sweet!!

So our neighbor has this dog, and it barks at 4:00 am every morning, and I’ve been thinking about ways to make it disappear, but my comps told me that i couldn’t do anything to their dog...

We totally have been teaching this family, and they are super interested, and have been reading and praying, and i flippin love them!!! i love it when they do what we’ve been asking them to do, praying and fasting for them to do, and we even call them at night to remind them!!! and they are awesome!! It’s cool to see what this gospel can do for people and their lives, and sometimes its soo crazy frustrating to be like, the answer is right there in your hand, the answer to eternal happiness, and you can’t make time for that cause your too busy?! what!!?! (we show up and leave and they are on their phones...  busy huh... ) With it being closer to Christmas, we are focusing some of our contacts, and messages on the Christmas theme, and people are happy to talk about Christmas so that’s great!!! Our trio is just killin it here in Centro America!!! Yay! i hope you all have a fantastic week!!! love you tons!!
