"If you judge people, you have no time to love them." Mother Teresa

What up all… how’s life!? This last week flew by!!! Well to start off I am nametagless…I don’t have a nametag…I lost it on one of the busses, but of course didn’t notice till we got off and it drove away, so i no longer have a nametag!!! ahh!!!! so yeah.... not really sure what to do, but i don’t have another one, cause they had us order some like 3 months ago.. and guess what!! yep.. still don’t have those!!
Our new convert is super duper awesome!!! wahooo!!! She’s the best!!! i love her!! Maria is sooo pilas!!! So she comes to church, and yesterday she passed by our investigators to invite them and bring them, and she only got baptized in December!! And then she invites our investigators and welcomes them, and tells them they are part of our family, and then she helps clean up all of the chairs after relief society and she is 65 years old, and we try to tell her not to, but she loves to help!! She stayed for a baptism of one of the kids in the ward, and she gave him a hug, and told him congrats and everything, and is just the cutest lady ever!! She feels grateful for everything… I just love her!! The people in Guatemala are great!! And it is a lot more fun when you can understand what the people are saying!! so Spanish is luckily coming along…and tons of fun!!!!
Also, Rocio is the best ever, and she loves to help the missionaries, and it’s so much fun!!! I hope you are all having a great time in school, and are learning tons.  I love you all and hope it’s the greatest week ever!!!!
Oh, so this last week we had interviews with the president, and his wife, and they are really the best!! i love them so much, and since Hermana Caffaro can’t understand Spanish, I was her translator, which I’m not sure was the greatest thing ever, but fun!! I get to go to the hospital tomorrow, cause I’ve been pretty sick for a bit, so we'll see what it is and I’ll let you know next week! So yeah, the nametagless missionary out… peace!

"We were not placed on this earth to walk alone." President Thomas S. Monson

WOW this last week was super duper awesome!! We've been working really hard with some families, and we have a couple in the ward that I consider the Guatemalan version of brother and sister Wood! -they have the same personalities, and love to help us in the work!!
My comp is awesome…and we just have a great time…whether or not people want to listen to us.  When we are super happy, and smiling—most of the time, they want to listen—only problem is, that all of them are willing to listen to us, they just aren’t so willing to get baptized…super crazy!! Don’t you understand this will make you happy!?! Life is a lot better when you understand, and i have started to realize how funny people are, now I can understand what they are saying.
People are great! The ward members are awesome, just sometimes not the most eager to go to appointments with us, but we’re working on that!! I super love the kids here—they are the cutest, and they are always soo talkative, and love to talk to the canchi!
We have been studying the attributes of Christ, and how we need to become more like him, and i super love the tips and things it gives in preach my gospel on how we can better become like him!  One of my favorites is to look at everyone the way that Christ sees them, and to just love them, without even needing to get to know them!  Just love them, and love them freely!!
Another thing we’ve been trying to focus on, is how the commandments really are there to help us!!! Yesterday, we went and visited this family, and the husband wasn’t there because he had pay day, and therefore was out drinking with his pals (although true friends wouldn’t encourage him to drink) We were talking to her, and she started crying, and saying how her husband had found another women, and how he was spending all of his money on her, and she has 7 kids, and the 3 oldest who are 15, 13, and 12 have jobs to help feed the family, and she works all day making tortillas, and only makes 20Q a day, which is equivalent to less than 3$... how sad!! Now school is starting up, she has 7 kids to feed, and clothe and care for, and her husband doesn’t give her any money to help out, so she pays for the house as well, and has to leave her 3 youngest in the house to go to work, and just starts to cry throughout the day, thinking about them, and hoping that they are okay, and it’s just the saddest thing ever to see how much these things destroy lives!!! We bore our testimonies to her, and told her she was never alone, but then her husband returned, way way way drunk, and got mad, so we had to leave, but wow.... the laws and commandments are here to protect us!! so don’t even downgrade the importance of even the seemingly small ones, that could have a lasting impact!!
Love you all and hope you have a great week!

"God will add His power to His servants." Henry B. Eyring

What up my hooligans!?
So this week was super the best!!! i got packages from home!!! wahoo!!!! bestest thing ever!!! so i got a package from the fam with a tree that Lexie had made with all of her ornaments, and various other ones from the fam, like all the cute ones that taizia and kasenya had drawn, and then i flip them over, and they have movie quotes…yes!!!!! made my life!
so now i read them all the time, and act them out for my comp, and she just thinks that i am crazy!! which is sooo true!! yeah!!! thanks sooooooo much for that!!! i looooove it!!!! and i put it up on my wall, even though Christmas is over!!!! best!!!!
Then, i got a package from aunt Dana, with a super duper cute calendar and it has everyone’s birthdays, and is the best thing ever!!! wahoo!!!! thanks Dana!!  I also got an envelope with all of the letters from everyone from thanksgiving, which were sooo dang cute, and then a letter from Dana, and one from the family, and one from tammy and the gang!! best!!...So it was a super great week!!!
We had this guy run up to us on the streets this week and he was like, “you’re American”… and i responded, “no, I’m from Coban”… and he was like oh, oops, and i was like wow... you really believed that!?!  no, I’m American—then he started to tell me about his job and how he needed to practice his English, so we told him that we could practice English if we could share a message with him…so we took him to the familia Alfaros’ house (a couple with 70 or so years, who are the best in the whole wide world—recently returned from their trip that was 2 months long to the US., and they contact people, invite them in, and then teach them with us, and testify and everything!! and it’s the super bestest!!!  I love love love them!!!! So there we taught him a lesson and practiced his English, and turns out the elders had taught him like 3 years ago, and he had a ton of unanswered questions for us, and it was super awesome! love it!!!
We also found a ton of families that we started teaching this last week, and we also found new investigators who we’ve been working super hard with!!!  Our time just isn’t long enough!! We need more hours in the day!! Usually our nights are crazy cause we are no joke running from one place to another because most people don’t finish their work until like 7 or 8 and get home around then, so our last two hours are always our most packed and crazy!! Then we had a family home evening with the family Alfaro, and we brought two of our family investigators, and we also had 2 other investigators come, and it was super duper great!!!  love it!!!! but for reals!! need more time!! and our church starts at 12 now, so that helps a ton with our recent converts who hated the 8 schedule, and couldn’t ever make it out of bed!!
It makes all the difference in the world when the members help us out, and bear testimony, and that is why i love the Alfaros’  sooo much!! they contact people, they talk to everyone, and invite them to see why they are so happy, and the best part is that Leonardo (the dad/ with 70 or so years) has tons of health problems that he could totally use as an excuse to not be happy, but he totally doesn’t—Instead he chooses to see the things that he does have, and how he can help others be happy!! so he’s in a wheelchair, and sits by his door, and when people pass by he calls to them and starts up a conversation!! best ever!!! wow!! he can’t even leave his house, and yet finds investigators for us, and shares the gospel with everyone!! Can’t we all do a little better!? This man that has had tons of health problems, and can barely talk because he had a stroke and his face still has problems, so it’s hard for him to speak, looks for every opportunity he can to share the gospel!!!! What the flip are we doing with our lives!? There are people that pass us every single day, that need to hear this message!! The thing that I’ve learned about being a missionary, is that you never know when or how you can influence a person, and when they are ready to hear the gospel!!   When i was first here, we found this super drunk man, and taught him because we felt he needed to hear the gospel, then the other week, i found him, and recognized him, and asked him if we could share a message with him, and when we found him, he had gotten back with his wife and daughter, and had quit drinking for 4 months or so, and was dying to read the book of Mormon to know what it’s all about because a coworker who wasn’t a member had mentioned it and said it was really interesting, and a true book!! What the flip… people are soooo ready to hear the gospel!! Open up your mouths, with faith, let God fill it, and get to work!!! Jesus Christ asks us if we love him, and if we truly… truly love him, feed his sheep!! He needs us to feed his sheep!! just think of all the blessings that you’ve gotten from having this gospel in your life!?  Is it fair that you are holding back from sharing these blessings!?  He needs us to speak up and out, to be examples, and to gather in his fold!! so lets all be a little bolder, and a little better in sharing the gospel!? okay!!? so yep.. just my advice for the week/year/life!!! get out and share!! hehe!! so yep It was an awesome week, and I hope you all find and pray for an opportunity to share the gospel!!
send me letters :-D    Love you all tons!!
