Mosiah 2:17 Serving others serves God!

So rainy season has started again -and when I say rain…- I mean raining cats and dogs.  We look outside and think okay we dont need our rain jackets today, but then in the afternoon we get poured on.  Then the next day we drag it along and it is hot and humid and no rain we just cant seem to get it right!
We have like 6 families we are working with that are awesome, but they arent married- one guy was married to another girl -not the one he is living with -divorce takes forever!  Then another cute little kid that is 8 reads the book of Mormon all the time and has great questions for us and his mom loves the church, but his dad is totally against it and wont let them get baptized.  Then in another case there is an amazing guy who loves what we are teaching them, but the girl living with him wants nothing to do with it, we get some people that are ready to be baptized, but they dont see the reason why they should and then we have other awesome people that want to get baptized but they cant for various challenging reasons.  We pray for them and keep working.
We went on p-day to the waterfall again, but even though I have been there before, I didnt know where it was so we went to the bus station and asked about going to the waterfall and they said yes this bus goes there, we got on but it wasnt going the right way and took 3 hours instead of 45 minutes, it was tiny and not worth it but oh well, we checked it out and I rode a zip-line kind of like the one Keaton builds in the back yard, only this one could hold me.
We had a multi zone conference and President Caffaro is amazing and helped us to realize that we dont always see the fruits of our efforts.  He told us some really cool stories from his mission.
I have learned to not think of myself so much.  I was so selfish before my mission!  I run into kids thats stomachs are bloated because they are starving.  Ive seen people that work and work and keep getting promised that they will get paid but they never do and then the employer moves and so their kids are going without food.  It makes me so sad when we talk to these cute little kids- they are so hungry!  The workers are abused here, we have  gotten some food and clothes from the bishop to take to some, and that service feels so wonderful!  I have been here in Jalapa for 6 months now and it is only my second areaSister Jones that came here with me is in her 5th area so I think I will be transferred this time, actually President told me to have my bags packed cause I will be moved.
Not sure when my real release date is going to be?  It is December 27th as of now, but that might be changed to a date thats before Christmas???  Anyway that is what happened last year.
There was a festive going on with horses in the streets- that was crazy.  And we ran into a lake on a street that made us go around a different way because going through it didnt look promising.  It just rains so much here.  We also helped our bishop out with a pageant thing that we made a drink and helped serve it.
So I saw a cute baby husky that was so adorable so I am going to have to get one when I get home.  What do you think mom?
I feel so grateful for the gospel in my life!  I need to come home and serve more and live my testimony.  Love people but not the sin that they are committing.  I am listening to a conference talk every morning that dad sent me and then I go out and find someone that puts that talk to the test for me Like I listened to Elder Kearon about helping the refugees and then I run into a family that needs food desperately!  Then I listen to a talk about sustaining the leaders of our church and what they teach and run into a lady that starts telling us our commandments and church arent true and I get to share with her my testimony that I know they are called of God and give us truths from God that will make us happy!  Its awesome!  I love this Church and gospel so much.  It is true and It is the ONLY way to really have peace and joy in our lives!
Thanks for all of your love and support
