"Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is not an effort of once a week or once a day. It is an effort of ONCE AND FOR ALL." President Uchtdorf

So this week was super crazy and fun!! i hope the recordings work and maybe i can do that for the blog, cause i feel like that is a lot easier to do than try to fit everything in the hour that we have and so i hope it works!!!  The highlight this week was by far going to the temple!!
I have been praying about being here, and feeling like I’m not making much of a difference, with only one baptism.. and wondering if I am doing anything right, I have been just praying for comfort for the work i am doing, and i got a blessing from the bishop this week, and he said that the lord is content with my work, and he is proud of me, and i don’t know all the people that i am preparing to accept the gospel later on, and it was just so dang cool!! i loved it!! The priesthood is the best!!
From Josie’s recording:  I’m in Jalapa now and it is not like the capitol, this area is much more what I thought Guatemala would look like, and everywhere we go looks the same so we get lost a lot.  People will listen to us, but most don’t seem willing to come to church, make any changes, or go to a church that is out of their neighborhood.  They just want to keep going to the one they have always gone to and think that the church doesn’t matter that they attend.  No one seems to want to do what it takes to find out that we are bringing them the truth.
I am not missing the pollution that was in the capitol.  But I do miss some of the amazing members I was able to work with in my last area.  I love my new companion Hermana Madrano from Honduras and was with her in the three-some before for about a week.  I was laughing at her trying to pack all of her stuff into her 2 bags, and then it was karma when I was trying to get all my “Stuff” shoved into 2 bags to head out and join her on my transfer!
We don’t have any investigators right now, so we are walking a lot and doing lots of service!  We actually have a washer here, then hang out our clothes to dry.  We pay a lady to fix us breakfast and lunch and then members feed us dinner often.  If someone feeding us walks out of the room, I pile my beans onto my comps plate and she is nice and eats them for me… I haven’t grown to love them yet…
I play the piano for church because the bishop thinks all white people can play (or should- he probably regrets asking me)…so I wish I would have practiced more! Thanks for all of the messages and pictures and packages and love and support!  I love you all!!!
